Role Overview

ServiceNow is in search of IT Service Operations presales specialists and architects who possess hands-on expertise in IT Service and Operations Management, data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture initiatives. This role focuses on service modeling, discovery, event management, cloud automation, and orchestration on the ServiceNow platform.

The presales specialist/architect will deliver technical expertise to assist clients with product and solution leadership during pre-sales engagements.

You will play a crucial role in acquiring and retaining clients by employing top-tier technical pre-sales consulting techniques to showcase the power, adaptability, and user-friendliness of IT Service and Operations Management on the ServiceNow SaaS platform.

This position requires a hands-on technical consultant capable of extensive solution delivery and positioning throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and contribute to sales initiatives centered on IT Service Operations, utilizing hands-on data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture strategies with ServiceNow applications focused on service modeling, event management, and discovery.
  • Maintain a showcase of Service Operations solutions developed on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Create and manage programs that empower Solution Consultants to demonstrate the value of Service Operations on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, both standard and customized, for prospects and existing clients, both onsite and online.
  • Generate product demo scripts and scenarios while maintaining demonstration environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams regarding roadmaps and field feedback.
  • Understand business and technical challenges addressed by the products, including key regulations, business drivers, evolving needs, and security considerations.
  • Provide mentorship and training to peers and colleagues within the organization.
  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with potential clients.
  • Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents.
  • Support marketing events such as user conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Stay informed on competitive analyses and understand differentiators.
  • Serve as a regional team lead to guide practice activities as needed.
  • In collaboration with Sales Personnel and Professional Services, conduct transition briefings to communicate commitments and expectations in preparation for deployment.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven pre-sales experience within the IT Operations Management / AI Ops domain.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Service Management.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding team quotas.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, encompassing both technical and business concepts.
  • Experience with enterprise architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of service-oriented and distributed application architecture in the enterprise (web services, data access and persistence, client/server, etc.).
  • Experience with Cloud Management Platforms such as AWS, VMware, BMC, etc.
  • Solid IT Operations experience in storage, networking, and computing within enterprise environments.
  • Experience with ITIL / CMDB implementations (CCMDB, UCMDB, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, WMI, SSH, Python, JavaScript, XPath, SNMP.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
