Role OverviewServiceNow is looking for specialists and architects in IT Service Operations with a focus on hands-on expertise in IT Service and Operations Management, data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture initiatives. This role will involve service modeling, discovery, event management, cloud automation, and orchestration on the ServiceNow platform.
The presales specialist/architect will deliver technical expertise to support customers, showcasing product and solution leadership during pre-sales engagements. Your role will be crucial in acquiring and retaining customers by utilizing advanced technical pre-sales consulting techniques to demonstrate the power and flexibility of IT Service and Operations Management on the ServiceNow SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and contribute to sales initiatives focused on IT Service Operations, leveraging expertise in data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture with ServiceNow applications.
- Maintain a showcase of Service Operations solutions developed on the ServiceNow platform.
- Create and manage programs that enable Solution Consultants to illustrate the value of Service Operations.
- Conduct product demonstrations, both standard and customized, for prospects and existing customers, in various formats.
- Generate product demo scripts and scenarios while maintaining demonstration environments.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to align on roadmaps and field feedback.
- Understand business and technical challenges addressed by our products, including key regulations and evolving business needs.
- Provide mentorship and training to peers and colleagues.
- Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with potential clients.
- Support marketing events such as user conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
- Stay informed on competitive analyses and understand differentiators in the market.
- Lead practice activities as a regional team lead when necessary.
- Conduct transition briefings with Sales Personnel and Professional Services to communicate commitments and expectations for deployment.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proven experience in pre-sales within the IT Operations Management / AI Ops domain.
- Knowledge and experience in IT Service Management.
- A track record of exceeding team quotas.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, covering both technical and business concepts.
- Experience with enterprise architectures and deep knowledge of service-oriented and distributed application architecture.
- Familiarity with Cloud Management Platforms such as AWS, VMware, and BMC.
- Solid IT Operations experience in storage, networking, and computing within enterprise environments.
- Experience with ITIL / CMDB implementations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, WMI, SSH, Python, JavaScript, Xpath, and SNMP.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
