Role Summary:
ServiceNow is on the lookout for presales specialists and architects in IT Service Operations, focusing on hands-on expertise in IT Service and Operations Management, data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture initiatives. This role emphasizes service modeling, discovery, event management, cloud automation, and orchestration within the ServiceNow platform.

The presales specialist/architect will leverage technical expertise to guide customers through product and solution discussions during pre-sales activities. You will play a crucial role in acquiring and retaining clients by employing advanced technical presales consulting methods to illustrate the capabilities, adaptability, and user-friendliness of IT Service and Operations Management on the ServiceNow SaaS platform.

This position requires a hands-on technical consultant who can navigate both broad and deep aspects of solution delivery and positioning throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and contribute to sales initiatives centered on IT Service Operations, utilizing hands-on experience with data center technologies, DevOps, and enterprise architecture in conjunction with ServiceNow applications focused on service modeling, event management, and discovery.
  • Maintain a showcase of Service Operations solutions built on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design and lead programs that empower Solution Consultants to demonstrate the value of Service Operations on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, both standard and customized, for potential and existing clients, in-person and virtually.
  • Create product demo scripts and scenarios while managing demonstration environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to align on product roadmaps and field insights.
  • Understand the business and technical challenges addressed by our products, including key regulations, business drivers, and evolving needs.
  • Provide mentorship and training to peers and colleagues within the organization.
  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with prospective clients.
  • Respond to Requests for Information/Proposal documents.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as user conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Stay informed on competitive analysis and recognize competitive differentiators.
  • Act as a regional team lead to oversee practice activities as needed.
  • In collaboration with Sales and Professional Services, conduct transition briefings to communicate commitments and expectations for deployment.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in presales within the IT Operations Management / AI Ops domain.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Service Management.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding team quotas.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, covering both technical and business concepts.
  • Experience with enterprise architectures.
  • In-depth understanding of service-oriented and distributed application architecture in enterprise settings (web services, data access and persistence, client/server, etc.).
  • Experience with Cloud Management Platforms such as AWS, VMware, BMC, etc.
  • Solid IT Operations experience in storage, networking, and computing within enterprise environments.
  • Experience with ITIL / CMDB implementations (CCMDB, UCMDB, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, WMI, SSH, Python, JavaScript, XPath, SNMP.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
