**Job Summary**

First Volunteer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Banker to join our team. As a Business Development Banker, you will be responsible for building a portfolio of family-owned, community-minded, and multi-generational businesses that generate revenues between $500,000 and $1,500,000 annually.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work closely with retail bank leaders to serve as a small business adviser, understanding and communicating appropriate structure, terms, and conditions to business owners.
  • Develop a niche in selected industries where you have intelligence and can build strong relationships.
  • Complete fifteen face-to-face meetings with business decision makers weekly.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Retail Bank Market Leaders, leading to deeper relationships and higher share of wallet, including both commercial and consumer needs.
  • Report summarily through the CRM system on results of marketing efforts by Friday each week.
  • Have a high level of confidence in your advisory capacity with business owners, aligning with our core strategy of being the Trust Financial Adviser.
  • Work closely with Commercial Relationship Managers on referral opportunities with businesses needing in excess of $1,500,000 of commercial debt and/or those businesses which require a high level of servicing.
  • Develop strong working relationships with centralized small business lending unit and accurately and fully document credit request packages.

  • Serve as a leader in our culture building efforts.
  • Commitment to execute our Profit Rich Sales process and help coach others on it.
  • Involvement in community via civic groups and intentional efforts to aid our education of our clients and the community.
  • Develop strong referral relationships with Bank's insurance agency, mortgage lending department, and other ancillary vendors.
