Job Overview

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a dynamic government contractor specializing in strategic IT services tailored to meet the mission requirements of Defense and Federal clients. We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager for a stimulating role.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves supporting a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) environment, which encompasses a large user base operating on approved Windows and Mac systems. The program focuses on delivering Engineering, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Service Management across:

  • Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Management solutions, including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune, within a hybrid Azure and on-premises co-managed Active Directory.
  • MacOS environments (MacOS Monterey, Big Sur, Catalina) managed through Casper Administration Management (CAM) and JAMF mobile device management, leveraging on-premises Active Directory for device oversight.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Overseeing the comprehensive range of services necessary for effective planning and management of all tasks outlined in the Task Order, while providing regular updates to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Executing planning and management functions to aid in the development of system and operational requirements for task elements, which includes creating plans and schedules based on technical data, organizing technical meetings, conducting project reviews, and generating status reports.
  • Delivering consistent program status updates using CBP Reporting Tools, tracking contract activities as directed by program monitors or the COR, and ensuring timely updates to provide management with clear insights into ongoing IT projects.
  • Submitting weekly progress reports to the COR and Task Monitor, summarizing all contractor activities, assessing technical progress, and addressing any concerns or recommendations.
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of Adhoc Reports as required, such as daily status updates on patches or findings related to vulnerabilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Acting as an alternate point of contact for contract and performance management.
  • Experience in analyzing and formulating plans, schedules, and reports.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members, leadership, and government clients.
  • Adept at researching and developing innovative solutions to unique challenges with minimal supervision.

Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Possession of one or more certifications such as Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Director (CPD), or Master Project Manager (MPM).

Minimum Clearance

  • Successful completion of a CBP Background Investigation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit; communicate verbally in person and via telephone; manipulate objects or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Regular physical activities may include stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Physical demands may involve extensive walking throughout various locations, including the use of personal or government vehicles for travel.
