Position Overview
Timmons Group is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager within our Transportation Design Group.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the effective management of designated projects while fostering robust client relationships. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving marketing initiatives and business development efforts.
  • Ensuring technical excellence, profitability, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinating project staff and maintaining clear client communications.
  • Negotiating project scopes and fees, managing billing processes, and assisting in fee collection as necessary.
  • Maintaining superior client relationships and promoting Timmons Group services beyond direct expertise.

Project Management Skills
The Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple mid-sized projects, several smaller projects, or a single larger project concurrently.

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in relevant states is preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design and transportation engineering, particularly with local Departments of Transportation (DOTs).
  • A comprehensive understanding of project accounting and the capability to manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in marketing and supervising technical work.
  • Proficiency in relevant technical and office support software.
