Job Overview

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a dynamic government contractor specializing in strategic IT services tailored to meet the mission requirements of Defense and Federal clients. We are seeking a skilled Deputy Project Manager for a significant role.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves supporting a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) environment, specifically focusing on U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations. The program encompasses approximately 75,000 users utilizing CBP-sanctioned Windows or Mac operating systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering comprehensive services to effectively plan and manage all tasks outlined in the contract, ensuring timely fulfillment of all requirements.
  • Facilitating the planning and management processes necessary for developing system and operational requirements, including creating schedules, conducting technical meetings, and preparing status reports.
  • Providing regular updates on program status using designated reporting tools, ensuring that contract activities are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Submitting weekly progress reports detailing contractor activities, technical advancements, schedule status, and any issues or recommendations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of ad-hoc reports as needed, covering various operational aspects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in contract and performance management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and preparing project plans, schedules, and reports.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments and manage stress effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Capability to research and develop innovative solutions independently.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Director (CPD), or Master Project Manager (MPM) are preferred.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must pass a CBP Background Investigation.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be capable of extensive walking and navigating various office environments.
