Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Vantage Construction Corp. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of managing a successful commercial construction project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Interact with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project management team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Estimating and Bid Management: Assist in the preparation of complete bid packages, review of plans and specifications, and issuance of RFPs to subcontractors.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the preparation of RFI's, meeting minutes, change orders, subcontractor and owner requisition packages, project cost coding, and submittal packages.
  • Project Accounting: Observe and assist in project accounting, including cost coding and job cost management reporting.
  • Software Proficiency: Learn and utilize Procore Management software to assist in all aspects of the project.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Learn to develop and maintain CPM schedules and technical construction means and methods.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: College degree in Construction or Engineering preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong self-starter with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; skilled at handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications; good math/accounting skills; ability to read drawings and specifications; ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality; strong organizational and time management skills; quick learner.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in strong computer applications, including Procore, Smartsheet, Excel, and other project management software.
Work Environment

The work environment for this role involves working on a construction site with a high noise level. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
