Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President (VP) of Process Technology who will serve as a strategic leader, responsible for overseeing and advancing Process Technology initiatives across the organization on a global scale. This role encompasses the successful implementation of Process Technology in engineering projects, including process studies, development of project delivery packages, front-end engineering design, and the seamless integration, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation of our Process Unit. Additionally, the VP will provide essential technical support to the Business Development team for their proposals, engaging with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering & Technology Delivery, the ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Chemical Engineering and experience in managing interfaces across manufacturing, technology, licensing, and process development packages.

Key Responsibilities:

The VP will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and efficiently deploying the company’s Process Technology. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and the Scientific Advisory Board, the VP will oversee:

  • Process Technology Development: Collaborate with the SVP of Manufacturing & Operations to integrate new advancements into existing processes and foster the development of next-generation technologies.
  • Process Technology Delivery: Work alongside the VP of Business Development to create effective proposals for technology deployment and manage licensing agreements to ensure compliance and maximize organizational value.
  • Process Technology Deployment: Interface with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and production scaling, while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Contracting & Procurement: Partner with the Director of Procurement to devise strategies for the company’s technology.
  • Operations: Collaborate with Operations to ensure reliable rollout of technology for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and ongoing plant operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in a senior leadership role within process technology, preferably in related industries such as chemical manufacturing or biotechnology.
  • Strong grasp of process development, optimization, and technology transfer principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety protocols in process technology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with demonstrated success in fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and negotiating effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a history of implementing innovative solutions and achieving business objectives.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and adept at meeting deadlines.
  • Technologically proficient, with experience in process simulation software and advanced engineering systems.
  • Commitment to driving innovation and continuous improvement within the process technology domain.
