Position Overview:

The Vice President of Operations will manage the organization's operational framework, financial oversight, human resources, information technology, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and being a vital member of the senior leadership team, this role is pivotal in establishing, executing, and supervising JFNA's operational processes and protocols. The Vice President will ensure that daily operations run smoothly, allowing the CEO to concentrate on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Formulate, develop, and implement operational policies that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Establish and maintain a cohesive structure for efficient administrative operations across Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for enhancement and implement effective solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of the annual operating budget, ensuring adherence and providing accurate progress reports.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for Accounting, HR, and IT services, including contract negotiations and legal reviews.

Leadership:

  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of motivation and shared vision.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to implement the organizational vision, strategy, and operational plans.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with teams across philanthropy, education, marketing, and impact.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight for all operational functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow within and across departments.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a knack for building consensus.
  • Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities.

  • Technologically adept with a capacity for implementing improvements.
  • Proactive approach with foresight into organizational needs.

Experience Required:

A minimum of ten years in progressively responsible roles, with at least five years in leadership positions, preferably within non-profit organizations.
