Position Title: Senior Vice President of Operations

Location: Houston, TX

Overview: We are in search of a Senior Vice President (SVP) to lead the Operations for our Houston division at Goodall Brazier, a distinguished player in the commercial construction sector. The SVP will oversee project teams, ensuring outstanding client satisfaction and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, aligning with OSHA regulations to mitigate risks and prevent incidents.
  • Formulate strategic long-term plans to cultivate and sustain relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Utilize a robust pipeline of projects to generate consistent opportunities on both local and national scales.
  • Serve as the executive champion for all project pursuits, guaranteeing equitable awarding practices and promoting supplier diversity.
  • Document and address all risk-related matters while resolving disputes with subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify milestone achievements and assess health checks to tackle any arising challenges.
  • Set and accomplish revenue and profit targets, ensuring the financial health of the operations.
  • Attract and recruit top-tier, diverse talent, fostering career advancement opportunities and developing a succession plan for the operations.
  • Lead by example, promoting engagement and transparency to foster an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • Leverage the strengths of Goodall Brazier to position for competitive success and identify market advantages.
  • Demonstrate community involvement and represent the company in outreach initiatives while participating in the internal executive committee.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus on construction, engineering, or business is highly preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience within the Houston market is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with software systems such as Procore, Microsoft Project, SureTrak, Primavera 6, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
  • Excellent business communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal presentation abilities.
