Job Overview

Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage

Position Summary:

The F&B Riverbend Manager is accountable for the efficient daily management of the restaurant. This role encompasses staff training, service excellence, and extensive experience in restaurant operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant Tribal, Federal, and other legal regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service by attentively addressing guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Oversee daily operations; provide training, delegate tasks, conduct interviews, evaluate performance, and manage team schedules.
  • Support servers, dining room attendants, culinary teams, and hosts in surpassing guest expectations.
  • Manage team member scheduling, performance evaluations, and daily assignments.
  • Guarantee completion of all opening, closing, and ongoing operational tasks.
  • Act swiftly and independently to resolve operational or guest-related issues, ensuring exceptional dining experiences.
  • Lead the restaurant service team through ongoing training in service techniques and beverage menu knowledge.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and profit enhancement.
  • Assess service procedures, review standards, and proactively address operational challenges.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for wine and liquor by analyzing sales data and placing orders as needed.
  • Engage with guests on the floor to ensure their dining experiences meet expectations.
  • Provide food, wine, and beverage recommendations to guests.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular departmental meetings and pre-shift briefings.
  • Deliver constructive feedback and recognition to team members.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage and culinary leaders on menu development.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of dining and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Promote the core values and skills of KLECH.
  • Safeguard confidential information entrusted to the position.
  • Complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with currency transaction reporting requirements and maintain accurate records as necessary.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are representative of the role and may evolve based on organizational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of three years of Food and Beverage management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in restaurant floor supervision and hiring processes.
  • Alcohol awareness certification is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and other Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to maintain focus for prolonged periods.

  • Effective communication skills in person and via telecommunications.
  • Manual dexterity for operating various equipment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs frequently.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office and casino floor settings.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a public environment.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be necessary.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations.
  • Exposure to various lighting conditions.
  • Travel may be required for essential functions.

Employment Conditions:

  • Must obtain and maintain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting is necessary.
  • Compliance with internal policies and gaming regulations is mandatory.
