Job Overview

Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage

Position Summary:

The F&B Riverbend Manager is accountable for the effective daily management of the restaurant operations. This role encompasses essential responsibilities such as staff development, service excellence, and comprehensive leadership within the dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, alongside Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies.
  • Uphold exceptional guest service standards by actively addressing guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Oversee daily operations; including training, planning, delegating tasks, interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, and addressing team member issues.
  • Support Servers, Dining Room Attendants, culinary teams, and Hosts in delivering outstanding dining experiences.
  • Manage team member scheduling, performance reviews, PTO requests, and daily operational assignments.
  • Guarantee completion of all opening, closing, and operational tasks daily.
  • Act swiftly and independently to resolve operational or guest-related challenges, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  • Lead the restaurant service team through ongoing training in service standards, wine presentation, and beverage menu education.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and profit enhancement.
  • Assess service procedures, review standards, and identify opportunities for increased efficiency while proactively addressing challenges.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for wine and liquor by analyzing sales data and placing orders as needed.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure their dining experience meets expectations.
  • Provide food, wine, and beverage recommendations to guests.
  • Communicate essential information to team members through regular departmental meetings and pre-shift briefings.
  • Deliver effective communication, offering direction, support, timely feedback, and recognition of team performance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage, Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs on menu enhancements.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the dining room and kitchen to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper equipment functionality.
  • Promote and embody the core values and skills of KLECH.
  • Safeguard confidential information entrusted to the position.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements and maintain accurate records as necessary.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are representative of the duties pertinent to this position and may evolve based on organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of three years of Food and Beverage management experience in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience in restaurant floor supervision and hiring processes is essential.
  • Alcohol awareness certification is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, and bend for extended periods.
  • Must maintain focus for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Effective communication in person or via telecommunications is necessary.
  • Must possess the dexterity to operate various equipment, including keyboards and touch-screen displays.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office and casino floor setting.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular public interaction.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; exposure to high noise levels may occur.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must perform under pressure and manage long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May encounter challenges in resolving issues with difficult guests and irate staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting conditions, including fluorescent and flashing lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill essential job functions.

Employment Conditions:

  • Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting is necessary.
  • Compliance with KLEC handbook, internal policies, and gaming regulations is mandatory.
