Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate Partnerships to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships with industry leaders to advance our research and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnerships strategy to drive business growth and revenue generation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with industry partners, leveraging our research expertise and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, faculty, and students.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement partnership agreements, contracts, and other business arrangements.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to faculty and researchers on industry partnerships and collaborations.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform partnership strategies.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track partnership performance and revenue generation.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a related field, such as business, engineering, or science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market analysis, and competitor activity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a related field, such as science, engineering, or business.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in technology transfer, licensing, and intellectual property management.
