Job Title: Director of Development

Baltimore Children and Youth Fund Inc is seeking a highly skilled Director of Development to join our team. As a key member of our External Affairs department, you will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts and developing strategic partnerships to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed annual goals
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of External Affairs to shape and execute the organization's fundraising strategy
  • Supervise the Development Manager and Development Associate to ensure successful execution of fundraising efforts

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of front-line fundraising experience, ideally in a nonprofit or youth development organization
  • Strong understanding of Baltimore City and its philanthropic, youth development, and social landscapes
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and think innovatively
