Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate Partnerships to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships with industry leaders to advance our research and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnerships strategy to promote INBT research and education activities.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships with industry leaders to drive innovation and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, students, and industry partners to facilitate collaborations and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and manage agreements with industry partners, including non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements, and sponsored research agreements.
  • Work closely with the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures office to identify and pursue translational opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Whiting School of Engineering to develop and implement a robust corporate strategy and portfolio.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a university or business development setting, with at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong customer-service oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and accomplish short-term and longer-term goals for the corporate partnership portfolio.
  • Ability to determine the course and direction for a robust corporate partnership program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Ph.D. in science/engineering, MBA, or JD preferred.
