Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Driver Manager to lead our driving operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing driver performance, ensuring efficient logistics, and enhancing training initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Driver Operations Oversight:

  • Manage daily driver activities to ensure compliance with schedules and company standards.
  • Evaluate driver performance, providing constructive feedback to uphold service and safety excellence.
  • Address operational challenges and driver inquiries in a timely manner.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Schedule and assign drivers for effective pick-up and delivery operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company protocols during all logistical processes.
  • Monitor performance metrics related to pick-up and delivery efficiency.

Training and Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs focused on safety, compliance, and customer service.
  • Conduct regular assessments of driver performance and identify areas for growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates to enhance training content.

Route Management:

  • Analyze and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Utilize routing technology to track and adjust routes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with logistics personnel to resolve route-related issues.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of driver hours and vehicle inspections.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures as needed.

Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed reports on driver performance and operational metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of training and route management activities.
  • Provide insights to enhance overall transportation effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Driver Manager role or similar within the transportation sector.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in route optimization tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Work Environment:

This role may involve occasional travel for driver assessments and vehicle inspections, alongside office-based responsibilities.
