Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to manage the daily functions of our driving personnel. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing driver performance, ensuring timely deliveries, facilitating training initiatives, and improving route efficiency to drive operational success. Driver Management:

- Supervise daily activities of drivers to ensure compliance with schedules, routes, and organizational policies.

- Evaluate and manage driver performance, offering constructive feedback to uphold service and safety excellence.

- Address operational challenges and resolve driver-related issues in a timely manner.

Delivery Coordination:

- Organize and assign driver tasks to guarantee prompt and effective pick-ups and deliveries.

- Ensure adherence to company protocols for all delivery operations.

- Monitor and report on delivery performance, addressing any discrepancies or delays as they occur.

Training and Skill Development:

- Create and execute training programs for both new and current drivers, emphasizing safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.

- Conduct regular evaluations of driver performance and identify opportunities for growth.

- Stay informed about industry standards and regulatory updates to enhance training content.

Route Planning:

- Assess and design optimal delivery routes to enhance efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

- Utilize routing software and GPS technology to track routes and implement necessary adjustments.

- Collaborate with the logistics team to tackle any route-related challenges effectively.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure all drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance and inspection requirements.

- Maintain comprehensive records of driver hours, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation.

- Manage incident investigations and enforce corrective measures as needed.

Reporting and Record Keeping:

- Generate and present regular reports on driver performance, operational effectiveness, and compliance metrics.

- Keep accurate records related to driver performance, training, and route management.

- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance overall logistics operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience as a Driver Manager or in a comparable role within the transportation sector.

- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in route optimization software, GPS technology, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make informed decisions.

Work Environment:

- This role may involve occasional travel to engage with drivers and inspect vehicles.

- The position encompasses both office work and on-site responsibilities at various locations.
