Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Driver Manager to lead our driving operations. Driver Operations Oversight:

Delivery Coordination:

- Organize and assign driver tasks to facilitate prompt and effective deliveries.

Training and Development:

- Create and implement comprehensive training programs for both new and current drivers, emphasizing safety and customer service.

- Conduct regular evaluations of driver performance to identify opportunities for enhancement.

- Stay informed on industry standards and regulatory updates to refine training initiatives.

Route Management:

- Assess and design optimal delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

- Utilize routing technology and GPS tools to oversee routes and make necessary adjustments.

- Collaborate with logistics personnel to tackle route-related challenges.

Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure all drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies, including vehicle maintenance protocols.

- Maintain thorough records of driver hours, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation.

- Investigate incidents and implement corrective measures as required.

Reporting and Record Keeping:

- Generate and present regular reports on driver performance, operational effectiveness, and compliance metrics.

- Keep accurate documentation related to driver performance, training, and route management.

- Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing transportation operations.

Qualifications:

- A degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience as a Driver Manager or in a comparable role within the transportation sector.

- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in route optimization software, GPS technology, and Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple responsibilities, and make informed decisions.

Work Environment:

- This role may involve occasional travel for driver visits and vehicle inspections.
