Job Overview
Leidos' Civilian Health Solutions Operation is in search of a proactive and mission-driven Asset Management Specialist to assist a federal agency with its large-scale, mission-critical hybrid infrastructure. We are assembling a remarkable team of technology professionals focused on high-impact initiatives, and we invite you to contribute to our ongoing transformation. This role involves supporting asset management efforts across the client environment. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with technical teams, providing recommendations on asset management issues, assessing risks, and managing project change requests to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, a strong customer service focus, and experience in managing and developing schedules for small to medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management processes and tools.
  • Label and test new equipment, including applying asset tags and ensuring operational functionality.
  • Unbox and evaluate returned equipment, documenting any damages and notifying relevant personnel.
  • Prepare equipment for disposal, including data wiping and recycling processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive asset inventory records, tracking the location, condition, and status of all equipment.
  • Provide assistance to IT staff regarding asset management procedures and inventory tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing assets, including documentation, hardware, virtual devices, software, and licenses.
  • Experience in administering and maintaining software licensing, asset management, and configuration management systems.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field with 6+ years of experience in asset management and proficiency in asset management tracking tools; additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
  • Ability to monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, and overall project quality.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to interact professionally with senior staff and the scientific community.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse contractor and government teams, as well as industry vendors, with professionalism and good judgment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • PMP or ITIL4 Foundations Certification (or the ability to obtain certification within three months).
