Role Summary:

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for managing the daily operational activities of the firm, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role requires close collaboration with the heads of Studio Operations, Client Development, and Human Resources to harmonize and streamline processes across all support functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history of achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight: Supervise the firm’s daily operations, ensuring project delivery meets established standards across various market sectors.
  2. Policy Development: Formulate and execute operational policies and procedures aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data-driven insights to improve overall firm performance.
  4. Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside the President and executive team to implement the strategic plan approved by the Board, exploring new business avenues and partnerships.
  5. Financial Stewardship: Oversee budget compliance and financial performance, ensuring the firm’s financial health and sustainability, including reporting to the Board and key stakeholders.
  6. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and cultivate the finance and technology teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  7. Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices while identifying and mitigating operational risks.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 15 years of operations management experience, particularly in professional services, architecture, or construction, is essential. Proven leadership capabilities with a history of building and guiding teams in a multi-office setting are required.

Exceptional executive presence, strong financial communication skills, and a deep understanding of profit and loss drivers are crucial. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills to foster impactful relationships across all organizational levels.
