This pivotal role involves the comprehensive oversight of operations within a multifamily affordable housing entity, including the management of properties under third-party fee agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the operations of third-party fee-managed affordable housing across multiple states.
- Engage collaboratively with asset managers, property owners, investors, and syndicators to fulfill organizational goals.
- Improve operational efficiencies by revising procedures in partnership with the executive leadership team.
- Formulate and implement capital plans and budgets, while reviewing financial performance and liaising with clients as required.
- Oversee Regional Vice Presidents, offering guidance, mentorship, and training.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, ownership groups, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct thorough property evaluations and provide strategic advice to clients as a trusted advisor.
- Report directly to the senior executive leadership team.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in affordable and conventional multifamily property management, with a focus on senior leadership roles.
- Expertise in LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, and relevant local City and State programs.
- Preferred certifications include CPO, CPM, SHCM, TCM.
- Strong background in finance, budgeting, capital expenditures, rehabilitation, and overall operational management.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, outstanding communication skills, and proficiency in collaborating with clients and executive teams.
- Familiarity with MS 365 and Property Management software is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Compensation:
A competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000+, negotiable based on experience, along with a bonus structure and a comprehensive benefits package.
