The Vice President of Sales Strategy is accountable for driving revenue expansion within the San Antonio region. This role involves cultivating leads, establishing a robust sales pipeline, advancing sales initiatives, securing new contracts, and meeting sales targets.

This position will foster relationships not only with corporate clients but also with local brokers and consultants, ensuring a comprehensive approach to business development.

The sales leader will engage in the strategic planning and execution of marketing and public relations activities that enhance visibility in the San Antonio market.


Key Responsibilities:
Leverages an established network of clients and broker connections to convert leads into sales opportunities.
Identifies market opportunities by assessing prospects, analyzing client readiness, and conducting thorough market research.

Develops an in-depth understanding of the products and services to provide tailored solutions to clients.

Engages with potential clients by building and nurturing relationships within both corporate and broker communities.

Maintains client relationships by offering support, sharing insights, and recommending new opportunities and service enhancements.
Encourages a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Additional Opportunities:
Participates in educational workshops; reviews industry publications; builds personal networks; benchmarks best practices; engages in professional organizations.
Assists in preparing responses to RFPs.
Seeks speaking engagements in industry-related forums to elevate the organization’s profile. Delivers sales presentations individually or collaboratively.

Qualifications and Education:
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a B2B context.
Employs a consultative sales approach.
Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
Preferred experience of 2-5 years in the employee benefits sector, which may include roles in insurance carriers, health plans, TPAs, or brokerage/consulting firms.
A successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail. Strong time management and follow-through skills are essential for this role.
Ability to thrive in a flexible work environment, including remote work arrangements.

Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated success in B2B sales.
Experience with Salesforce and CRM systems.
Strong presentation skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation:
$100,000 - $150,000


The specific compensation for this position will be determined by various factors, including the role's scope, complexity, and location, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
