Position Summary:
Norco is seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Medical Accounts Receivable Coordinator. This position is pivotal in overseeing the billing and collection processes for all designated payers and locations, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing claim submissions and addressing claim rejections.
  • Handling denial management and collecting both current and aged insurance receivables.
  • Conducting account adjustments, audits, and status changes.
  • Processing payments, refunds, and engaging with patients via phone.

Key Responsibilities:
The Medical Accounts Receivable Coordinator will:

  • Investigate and resolve claims based on denial reason codes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and address collection issues proactively.
  • Post both electronic and manual payments accurately.
  • Submit insurance claims and manage rejected claims through appeals.
  • Verify patient eligibility, coverage, and benefits while identifying authorization needs.
  • Process claim denials promptly, adhering to established timelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional standards.
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, and payer regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability in all processed claims.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.50/hr.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with medical software and the ability to navigate various platforms.
  • Knowledge of the insurance process, medical terminology, and coding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting codes and their applications.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to interpret reports.
  • Attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
