Position Summary:
Norco is seeking dedicated and friendly individuals to fill the role of Medical Customer Service - Central Support Pre-Qualification. This position is crucial as it represents the initial interaction patients have with Norco regarding their new prescriptions. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and updating patient profile information
- Engaging with patients and referral sources to ensure accurate account details
- Initiating customer outreach
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Communicating with customers in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently
- Adhering to call scripts for various topics
- Identifying customer needs, clarifying information, and providing effective solutions
- Documenting customer interactions in Norco's electronic system accurately
- Meeting personal qualitative and quantitative performance targets
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of products, availability, pricing, and usage
- Educating patients and clients on medical products and services
- Routing patient information to the appropriate departments for order processing and billing
- Processing customer orders and entering them accurately into computer systems
- Coordinating referrals to community agencies to ensure continuity of care
- Performing additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to address billing inquiries or direct them to the appropriate personnel (training provided)
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficient typing and 10-key skills
- The capacity to sit for extended periods
- Accurate data entry skills and a willingness to learn necessary software applications
- A medical background, including experience in Respiratory Therapy or Nursing, is advantageous
