Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team at True Find Staffing (TFS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilating, and cooling units.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and repair system issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Travel to job sites in our service area, work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained, and communicate delays to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, submitting vehicle inspection reports, and washing the unit regularly.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Maintain and submit monthly mileage logs.
  • Understand company pricing and generate customer invoices at job sites, obtaining customer signatures upon completion.
  • Document installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type, test measurements, and pictures when necessary.
  • Participate in company/industry-provided training for latest technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, including newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of commercial HVAC service technician experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills to exceed customer expectations.
  • Well-groomed, neat appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Clean criminal background record for the last ten years (required by school district clients).
  • Clean driving record, as you will drive a company vehicle.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
