Job Summary:
In this role, you will operate with minimal supervision to conduct diagnostics and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (5+ tons) and related components. You will engage with commercial clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will promote our products and services to enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as necessary.
- Manage the delivery and collection of parts and equipment for service tasks.
- Document all service interactions accurately using a handheld device and ensure all paperwork is completed thoroughly.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to provide updates on service status and availability.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Generate sales leads for replacement products during service visits and communicate these to the Sales and Service Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with additional technical training and 2 to 5 years of HVAC experience.
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
- EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
- Proficient in servicing HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot HVAC electrical and refrigerant systems.
- Experience in balancing airflow and aligning belts and pulleys with minimal supervision.
- Capability to install basic duct fittings.
- Competence in troubleshooting and repairing various HVAC systems and components.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and on-call shifts as required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in diverse environments, including climbing ladders and navigating tight spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
