Job Summary:

In this role, you will operate with minimal supervision to conduct diagnostics and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (5+ tons) and related components. You will engage with commercial clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will promote our products and services to enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as necessary.
  • Manage the delivery and collection of parts and equipment for service tasks.
  • Document all service interactions accurately using a handheld device and ensure all paperwork is completed thoroughly.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch to provide updates on service status and availability.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Generate sales leads for replacement products during service visits and communicate these to the Sales and Service Coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, with additional technical training and 2 to 5 years of HVAC experience.
  • Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
  • EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
  • Proficient in servicing HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot HVAC electrical and refrigerant systems.
  • Experience in balancing airflow and aligning belts and pulleys with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to install basic duct fittings.
  • Competence in troubleshooting and repairing various HVAC systems and components.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and on-call shifts as required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in diverse environments, including climbing ladders and navigating tight spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
