About the Role

This Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for securing and analyzing quotations, negotiating prices and terms with domestic and international suppliers, subject to management approval, for the purchase of fixed assets, parts, tooling, materials, and/or services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies to establish long-term sourcing.
  • Expedite the procurement of parts or materials in short or critical supply.
  • Perform market analyses and competitive evaluations.
  • Coordinate quality matters, engineering, and price changes between company components and suppliers.
  • Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations, and engineering change orders.
  • Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Provide direction and training to inventory buyers and planners as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years related experience with preferred experience in Controls, Sensors, Electrical, and Indoor Air Quality.
  • Requires broad expertise including strategic sourcing and purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban, and supplier development.
  • Requires excellent negotiation abilities and strong analytical skills.
  • Shows exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
  • Must have knowledge of economic principles and financial markets.
  • Competent in computerized procurement systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and may require MS Access experience.
  • International travel may be required.
