Role Overview:

The HVAC Installer is responsible for the effective and satisfactory installation of residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems and components. This role includes supervising Install Helpers to ensure quality workmanship. The Installer will communicate with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and guarantee complete customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position involves promoting products and services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently install HVAC systems and components in residential settings.
  • Install heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems according to company standards and manufacturer specifications, performing limited diagnostics as necessary.
  • Design, fabricate, and install ductwork and fittings as required.
  • Conduct start-ups on heating and cooling systems and associated components.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Promote products and services to customers, providing leads to the Sales and Service Coordinator.
  • Manage the delivery and removal of equipment necessary for installation tasks.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and accountability of company property, vehicles, and tools.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and promptly, including payment collection from customers.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, honesty, and integrity in all interactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of installation vehicles in line with the company's professional image.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure company vehicles are stocked appropriately and defective parts are returned as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions or acts to your supervisor.
  • Notify your supervisor of any violations of legislation or company policies.
  • Address substandard conditions within your control.
  • Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Never disable safety devices or equipment.
  • Comply with all company safety procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to the development of safety programs to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, with additional training and 2 to 5 years of HVAC experience, including technical certification.
  • Possession of all necessary licenses or certifications as mandated by local regulations.
  • EPA and safety certifications are required.
  • Understanding of HVAC system operations and related components.
  • Proficient in the installation of HVAC systems without supervision.
  • Knowledge of ductwork layout and installation standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate required tools and equipment.
  • Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting HVAC systems.
  • Effective communication skills for customer interaction and issue resolution.
  • Strong time-management and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as necessary.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.
