Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is tasked with supervising one of four key production lines (1. Electrode 2. Formation 3. Assembly 4. Winding). This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are achieved, executing manufacturing strategies, and fostering continuous enhancements in operational efficiency. The Manager works in close collaboration with various stakeholders, aligning their leadership approach with fundamental principles, while also mentoring team members to reach their highest potential.

The Manufacturing Operations Manager plays a vital role in both ramping up and maintaining manufacturing activities. They are responsible for the management of assigned production line(s), providing leadership support across all production aspects, and ensuring that production objectives are consistently met. Utilizing diverse processes and methodologies, the Manager transforms raw materials, components, and parts into finished Lithium Ion batteries. Additionally, they are accountable for the implementation of production strategies and operational goals, aiming to exceed customer expectations regarding product quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Furthermore, the Manager is dedicated to maximizing production levels and driving operational excellence. They collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, striving for best-in-class products and business practices. The Manager will oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across assigned Manufacturing Operations, ensuring that all projects are executed with the utmost quality standards while adhering to budgetary constraints and strict deadlines. They inspire, motivate, and mentor their team to achieve excellence, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure optimal utilization of company resources to maintain safe manufacturing and distribution practices.

· Lead functional production teams to achieve manufacturing KPIs.

· Empower, develop, and recognize individuals and teams for their performance and growth.

· Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency by implementing Lean principles.

· Coordinate and engage with internal cross-functional teams to meet customer and organizational objectives.

· Participate in management meetings, providing comprehensive updates on production goals.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Manager in a genuine Production & Manufacturing setting.
  • Supervisory experience with strong qualifications may be considered.
  • Experience in a 24/7, high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
  • Foundational and practical knowledge of Machine Controls & Instrumentation.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Principles, and KPI development and tracking.
  • Management experience overseeing 50 to 70+ direct and indirect employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science (MS).
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification, 5S, SAP/ERP Systems, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
