Position: BBQ Kitchen Supervisor - While experience is beneficial, we provide comprehensive training.
As our BBQ Kitchen Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that every dish we serve adheres to our exceptional quality standards. Daily, you will assess our meat inventory to ensure all products meet our rigorous criteria. This role is not merely a job; it represents a career opportunity with significant potential for growth and advancement.
The BBQ Kitchen Supervisor oversees the overall food preparation and BBQ operations within the restaurant. You will manage the production of all our smoked meats and side dishes, employing effective forecasting, product handling, and cooking methods.
Additionally, you will uphold our barbecue standards, ensuring that the food presentation is visually appealing. You will lead and support the team in preparing and smoking the meats, striving to produce only what is necessary for daily demand while minimizing waste.
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend the company’s menu and operational philosophy.
- Oversee all daily food preparation and smoking activities in the kitchen; cook and smoke food while leading the kitchen staff.
- Adhere to the established guidelines for food preparation and kitchen procedures as outlined by management.
- Follow all designated recipes accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of food quantities required for daily and weekly operations.
- Understand all inventory items and prepare accordingly to ensure proper stock levels.
- Manage the storage of all food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and placement in designated areas.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special food offerings.
- Assist in training kitchen staff on proper food preparation, company quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Lead the team to ensure food is visually appealing, cooked correctly, served promptly, and presented by friendly and courteous staff.
