Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Biosciences Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, specifically focusing on the universities of Liverpool and Manchester.

As a Biosciences Account Manager, you will be instrumental in driving sales and cultivating relationships with our esteemed clients in the academic, governmental, and healthcare sectors. This position offers the chance to collaborate with a high-performing team, enhance your sales expertise, and contribute to achieving our ambitious sales objectives.

Your primary responsibility will be to stimulate growth within our Biosciences portfolio, which includes protein, cell, and molecular biology products (Invitrogen, Gibco & Applied Biosystems), as well as selected laboratory equipment such as endpoint PCR machines, fluorescent microscopes, flow cytometers, and various other benchtop instruments.

This role demands a professional with a proven sales record and a comprehensive technical understanding, coupled with the ability to empathize with and resolve customer challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities proactively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse customer base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts successfully.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to potential clients.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures in all sales activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (PhD preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably within the life sciences sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious with a passion for achieving sales goals.
