Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant will execute financial operations to ensure adherence to IFRS standards, organizational policies, and external audit requirements.

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, monthly closing activities, journal entries, and account analysis.

Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accurate recording of all incurred costs, and preparing/reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
2. Identify and resolve financial accounting discrepancies.
3. Prepare monthly financial statements and forecasts utilizing One Stream software.
4. Assist in the development of management reports along with relevant schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including 'Budget vs Actual' variance analyses and presentations.
5. Coordinate and finalize periodic Corporate Tax Packages and regulatory submissions.
6. Support external and internal audits/reviews by providing requested materials promptly.
7. Evaluate and document procedures and workflows to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting systems, safeguard company assets, and ensure proper transaction recording.
8. Contribute to system enhancements aimed at increasing efficiency, including testing and approving upgrades of system reports and automating processes.
9. Monitor and forecast cash projections against actual figures.
10. Maintain the fixed asset subsidiary ledger in Sage FAS, including depreciation schedules, assessing the appropriateness of new asset costs, and monitoring expenditures against approved budgets.
11. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
12. Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting, particularly within a manufacturing context.
- At least 3 years of intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex formulas.

Preferred:
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including IFRS.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP system (implementation anticipated in the future).
- Strong analytical and accounting capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word and Access.
- Familiarity with fully integrated ERP software solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
