Job Summary

United Water Restoration Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to lead our restoration team in water and mold damage situations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising a team of technicians and assistant first-responders to mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess damage and determine the appropriate methods for remediation, ensuring positive customer interactions and performing techniques in water, mold, and fire mitigation and microbial remediation.
  • Supervise and ensure the proper removal of approved materials and equipment placement in damaged areas.
  • Develop and implement fast drying practices and techniques to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Removal of building materials such as baseboard, drywall, cabinets, countertops, flooring, and other affected components as required by the damage.
  • Monitor job progress, follow up with clients, and ensure timely and accurate upload of daily monitor moisture readings, pictures, and notes into our database.
  • Manage inventory, track service calls, and update daily and weekly tracking of tasks and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training to direct reports.
  • Be available for overtime and on-call emergency situations to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Strong work ethic and ability to coach and train direct reports.
  • Ability to assess situations and set up equipment and tools according to industry standards.
  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot faulty equipment and account for all tools used during each job.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding customer needs.
  • Knowledge of local insurance carriers and policies to assist customer inquiries.
  • Ability to respond to new job leads and sell United Water Restoration services.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Possess and maintain a good driving record and vehicle cleanliness/mechanics.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and strong internet literacy.
  • Highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and meet all OSHA requirements.
Education and Experience
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Prior experience supervising teams in the trades or similar professions such as fire, police, and/or military.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Desired College degree or courses, or some advanced training in any field.
  • Must be certified or can acquire within 6 months IIRC training and certification.
  • Experience in water, mold, and fire damage restoration, related industries, or other technical functions is desired.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is desired.
