Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled professional to join our team at Delta System and Software Inc. as a Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining industrial equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain industrial equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams
  • Conduct system audits and perform necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of company products and policies
Requirements
  • Associate degree or two-year technical certificate, or 3-5 years' experience in lieu of degree/certificate
  • 5+ years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation
  • 3+ years Field engineering experience
  • Very good Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience with pneumatics is also an advantage
  • Management/ supervisor experience would also be an advantage
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This is an outside field environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel, including overnight stays and weekend working as required. Demonstrated ability to learn. Must be flexible. Organizational skills. Able to work well in a team or solo.

Education and Experience

Must have Associate degree or two-year technical certificate, or 3-5 years' experience in lieu of degree/certificate. 5+ years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required. 3+ years Field engineering experience. Very good Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required. Ability to read electrical schematics. Experience with pneumatics is also an advantage. Management/ supervisor experience would also be an advantage.

Skills and Abilities
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated with strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with hot melt adhesives is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
