Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Supervisor to advance your career in the Subsurface Utility Engineering sector within an environment that fosters professional development and recognizes hard work. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and management of multiple projects within the SUE segment of our Geomatics practice. Our team operates in a fast-paced environment, engaging in a variety of projects across different sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SUE projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability, adherence to schedules, and compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Establish and nurture client relationships, maintaining clear communication regarding project scope and deliverables.
  • Conduct various types of surveys, including Boundary, ALTA, Topographical, and Construction surveys.
  • Collaborate with team members and independently manage project schedules, objectives, and direct the efforts of field crews and technicians.
  • Supervise the preparation of maps, plats, legal descriptions, and all other project deliverables while ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and assist leadership with training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, including 5 years in SUE fieldwork and 3 years in supervising field crews and project management. Experience in underground utility locating is also required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • Completion of an Advanced Utility Locating Training Course is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Engineering and associated technologies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations and standards is preferred.
  • Understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and practices is beneficial.
  • Experience with Electromagnetic Locating Equipment, Ground Penetrating Radar, and Vacuum Excavation is preferred.
  • Basic skills in AutoCAD and MicroStation are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet and Deltek Vision is a plus.
