The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) is looking for a dedicated Administrative Support Specialist to join our team.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Executive Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide essential administrative assistance to the Civilian Unit Leader. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Calendar Management: Overseeing and managing the calendar of the Civilian Unit Leader.
- Travel Coordination: Handling travel arrangements through the Defense Travel System (DTS).
- Meeting Logistics: Scheduling, planning, and tracking meetings, as well as coordinating briefings and presentations.
In addition, you will:
- Assist in managing daily operations, process enhancements, and special projects.
- Coordinate with various departments and senior leaders as necessary.
- Serve as the records manager, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Document business processes and prepare operating instructions.
- Compose written communications for various stakeholders.
This position allows for situational telework as per agency policy, but does not permit remote work outside the designated area.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Strong verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience working with scientists and engineers in research and development.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to synthesize information from various sources.
- A proactive approach and self-starter mentality.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative spirit that fosters teamwork.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
