Role Summary:

The Construction Project Coordinator will oversee a moderate portfolio of contract-based projects, ensuring complete ownership and accountability for each assignment. This role involves daily resource management, adherence to established organizational processes, and the ability to effectively plan, direct, and coordinate activities to guarantee successful project outcomes.

The Coordinator will manage all facets of each project, including:

  • Understanding project requirements: job files, contracts, budgets, and any relevant project-related information.
  • Establishing project timelines and necessary material dates; developing a strategic plan to meet project schedules.
  • Conducting field verifications and participating in job site coordination meetings as required.
  • Reviewing shop drawings and submittals; coordinating necessary changes with scheduling until contractor approval is obtained.
  • Providing shipping information and required dates to the Purchasing and Shipping/Receiving departments.
  • Managing material phasing according to approved schedules.
  • Collaborating with contractors and colleagues to resolve project issues and provide ongoing product and application support.
  • Preparing and submitting project change order proposals, including detailed project information, lead times, and pricing.
  • Addressing product warranty issues and back charges in accordance with organizational policies.
Qualifications:
  • A 2-year or 4-year degree in Construction Management or a related field, with a minimum of four years of industry or project management experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while managing assigned tasks.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills to navigate diverse situations professionally.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes, including complaint resolution and negotiation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • General knowledge of mathematical applications, including arithmetic and geometry.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability for driving are required.

Salary: Competitive salary range based on experience.
