Position: General Contractor/EPC Assistant Project Manager

Company: City Light & Power, Inc.

City Light & Power, Inc. is in search of a skilled General Contractor/EPC Assistant Project Manager to contribute to our operations. This role is essential for overseeing construction initiatives from inception to completion.

As a full-service electric utility solutions provider, we have over two decades of expertise in electrical utility system management, enhancements, and operational services.

The Assistant Project Manager will play a vital role in facilitating construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This position involves supporting the Project Manager and acting as a key liaison among various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of reports detailing project phases and financial metrics.
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with clients, project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
  • Support the Project Manager in formulating budgets, schedules, and service plans for diverse project components.
  • Oversee onsite construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings, including pre-award, pre-construction, progress updates, and final close-out discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to identify and allocate necessary resources.
  • Monitor timelines, materials, and project progress in accordance with established schedules.
  • Engage in procurement processes, cost management, and change control procedures.
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure construction quality and compliance as required.
  • Promote and uphold the company's core safety values while working with the EH&S Director to communicate and enforce safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is highly preferred; relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Two to four years of experience in building construction, materials, systems, or related fields is required.
  • Experience with federal contracting or construction projects is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong skills in documentation and reporting.
  • Organized problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to various job sites.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and life insurance, along with a 401k plan featuring company contributions, paid time off, and holidays.
  • Salary range: $70,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience, with eligibility for a Short Term Incentive Plan.
