City Light & Power, Inc is in search of a qualified General Contractor/EPC Assistant Project Manager to support our operations. This role involves assisting in the management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

The Assistant Project Manager will play a vital role in the coordination of various construction initiatives, from the initial planning stages through to project completion. This position serves as a crucial link between the Project Manager and other stakeholders, ensuring that all project deliverables align with established objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of comprehensive reports detailing project phases and financial metrics.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with clients, project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing budgets, schedules, and service plans for different project components.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities throughout the duration of the project.
  • Participate in various project meetings, including those focused on pre-award, pre-construction, progress updates, and final close-out.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to identify and allocate necessary resources, including staff and materials.
  • Monitor timelines, materials, and overall project progress to ensure adherence to the schedule.
  • Engage in the procurement process, cost management, and change order procedures.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of construction work as required.
  • Promote and uphold the company's core safety values, working with the EH&S Director to communicate and enforce safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is highly preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Two to four years of experience in building construction, materials, systems, or related fields is required.
  • Experience with federal government contracting or construction activities is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Highly organized, with problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to various job sites as needed.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Eligibility to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and life insurance, along with a 401k plan featuring company contributions, paid time off, and paid holidays.
  • Salary range: $70,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience, with eligibility for a Short Term Incentive Plan.
  • We reserve the right to adjust compensation based on factors unrelated to sex.
