Position Overview:

At Saab Automobile AB, we are committed to advancing our manufacturing capabilities. We are currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is eager to enhance their expertise in production technology. This role encompasses the entire spectrum of technical production work related to assembly and installation, including calculations, preparation, and documentation processes, as well as verification tasks. The position also involves the development of manufacturing engineering practices, techniques, and the qualification of new products in alignment with both Saab and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement process planning for both existing and new products.
  • Optimize production workflows and layouts utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Design and refine processes, methods, tooling, and production controls for various products and programs, employing CAD software (SolidWorks).
  • Evaluate design and specification modifications to ensure proper integration into manufacturing processes.
  • Address technical challenges on the production floor by utilizing work instructions, design models, and specifications.
  • Assist with Failure Analysis, MRB repairs, and special processes as required.
  • Embody and promote the company values of Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
  • Undertake additional project-related tasks as assigned.
Compensation Information:

The compensation range for this position is between $108,000 and $137,700. This range serves as a general guideline; actual offers will consider various factors including role responsibilities, location, market conditions, and the candidate's qualifications.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the energetics and munitions sectors.
  • Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various functional areas.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing change across functions.
  • Effective listening and communication abilities.
  • Ability to adhere to principles while navigating business constraints.
Citizenship Requirements:
