Solutions are usually derived from previous experiences, along with a thorough analysis of the issues at hand.
This position is suited for an experienced professional with a solid grasp of the job area and practical project management skills.
May oversee projects or processes with general oversight.
Engages with contacts both within and outside the department to clarify and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Proposes enhancements to systems and processes.
Aims to meet operational targets for specific programs and projects, impacting departmental outcomes moderately.
Operates under general supervision.
May take responsibility for entire projects or processes within the job area.
May also provide guidance, coaching, and training to colleagues within the job area.

At this level, may manage projects with accountability for delegating tasks and reviewing the work of others.

Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of relevant engineering experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
At least 2 years of experience with statistical process control.
A minimum of 1 year of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Skills:
Ability to collaborate with contacts both within and outside the department.
Strong communication skills to interact with external parties (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.).
Ability to explain and interpret processes and procedures to others within and outside the job area.
Capability to justify and gain support for processes, practices, and procedures.
