The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and analysis of engineering plans and projects related to manufacturing processes. This role involves effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on engineering strategies and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates and executes manufacturing strategies tailored to specific products and processes.
- Collaborates with engineering project teams to facilitate the introduction of new products.
- Assesses and monitors manufacturing costs, establishes time standards, and provides recommendations for tooling and process requirements for both new and existing product lines.
- Maintains comprehensive records and reporting systems to enhance coordination of manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions:
- Implements moderate enhancements to systems and processes to address challenges or improve operational effectiveness.
- Engages with various contacts to clarify and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Suggests improvements to existing systems and processes.
- Aims to meet operational targets for specific programs and projects, influencing departmental outcomes.
- May oversee entire projects or processes within the engineering domain.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training to peers within the job area.
- May lead projects, including delegating tasks and reviewing the work of others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience without a degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in statistical process control.
- A minimum of 1 year of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing setting.
