Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or hold a High School Diploma/GED.

  • Essential Skills: Proven experience in conducting surveys on non-paved road conditions. Training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel is required.
Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating the surface conditions of aggregate roads, gravel roads, and unimproved roads utilizing the standards set forth in the PASER Gravel Roads Manual and the PASER Unimproved Roads Manual.

  • Conduct surface condition evaluations on aggregate roads, gravel roads, and unimproved roads according to the PASER guidelines. This task constitutes 100% of the role.
Additional Information:
  • Training will be provided on the PASER Gravel Roads Manual and the PASER Unimproved Roads Manual.
  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel is expected during the standard workweek, Monday through Friday.
  • Overnight travel may be required during the workweek.
  • Health and Safety Considerations: The role may involve traversing uneven terrain and navigating extensive non-paved road surfaces.
  • Required Safety Equipment: Visible Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and hard hats.
  • Safety Equipment Usage: PPE must be worn at all times while conducting surveys on the road.
  • Physical Demands: The position necessitates travel to remote forest locations for road condition assessments. Candidates may need to walk on non-paved roads to accurately assess condition ratings.
