Residential Assessment Consultant
About Us
Birdwatch serves as a dedicated partner for homeowners, providing a comprehensive management service for repairs, maintenance, enhancements, and more. Our mission is to alleviate the stress of home upkeep by managing all aspects of property care on behalf of our clients. We prioritize exceptional service for our clients, their homes, our community, and our valued team members.
Position Overview
As a vital member of the Birdwatch team, our Residential Assessment Consultants possess extensive knowledge of modern home systems. These professionals, often with backgrounds as home inspectors, general contractors, or skilled tradespeople, conduct on-site evaluations to document property conditions, systems, and maintenance needs. This role goes beyond basic assessments; it focuses on understanding what may be preventing our clients from enjoying their homes fully. It requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, as you will often be the first representative of our company that clients meet, making a lasting impression.
Growth Opportunity
With our rapidly expanding membership base, we are looking to add part-time Residential Assessment Consultants in various metropolitan areas. Flexible scheduling options are available, along with potential career advancement opportunities.
We are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a positive work environment. We seek talented individuals who are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients, appreciate being valued for their contributions, and want to be part of a vibrant company culture. Our team is our most significant asset, and we strive to support them just as we do our clients' homes.
Compensation: $50-60 per hour
Work Schedule: Part-time as needed, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (schedule negotiable)
85 - 90% fieldwork
Key Responsibilities
We aim to create exceptional customer experiences. Success in this role includes:
- Client Engagement Skills: Beyond technical knowledge, effective communication (both verbal and written), confidence, and rapport-building are essential. Emotional intelligence is crucial for understanding client needs.
- Industry Knowledge: Ideal candidates may have experience as home inspectors or general contractors, but a broad understanding of residential properties is vital. The focus is on practical assessments rather than exhaustive reports.

- Patience and active listening skills, especially during challenging situations
- The ability to personalize client interactions based on prior conversations
