Job Summary

Delaware North is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Global Business Services to lead our financial operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely completion of major projects, month-end, and year-end reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee and manage the general accounting function for the Sportservice subsidiary, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete financial records, supporting year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
  • External Audits: Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team Management: Develop team members by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; professional certification such as CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role or equivalent.
  • Skills: Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements, knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
