Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement measurement strategies to ensure accuracy and precision in inspection processes.
  • Manage and track metrology capacity and planning to optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve Quality performance in inspection areas, including sustaining production and new product development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Global Metrology Projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to less experienced engineers and quality professionals on best practices for measurement equipment and inspection methods.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including GMP, FDA, and ISO.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of measurement equipment and services.
  • Manage and maintain measurement equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with R&D to develop new inspection procedures and protocols.
  • Provide input on new product development to ensure measurement capabilities are adequate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in metrology or a related field.
  • Programming experience with CMMs, Optical Hybrid CMM, and Tesa equipment.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as medical device, aerospace, or automotive.
  • Preferred experience with Calypso and PC-DMIS programming languages.
  • Blueprint reading experience and interpretation, including GD&T.
  • Proficient in Minitab and Excel.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
