Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are looking for a hospital-based Clinical Laboratory Technologist to deliver expertise and drive results. Our collaborative team values mutual support and is eager to welcome a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses by evaluating proficiency testing samples in accordance with established protocols, ensuring completion within designated timeframes.
  • Assume departmental responsibilities as needed in the absence of supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient test results.
  • Execute urgent procedures within established turnaround timeframes.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and independent reasoning in the correlation and interpretation of patient results, including performing delta checks.
  • Review pending logs and result logs; address any outstanding workload or communicate with staff as necessary.
  • Implement quality control measures as per protocol and manage all problematic or critical laboratory specimens/test results.

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate Degree is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is preferred.
  • A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to secure a license during the interview process.
  • Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas is necessary, with a Generalist license being highly preferred.
  • Specialties may include: Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
