Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Histology Technologist to join our team, ensuring that we deliver high-quality and efficient care to all patients. If you are passionate about patient care and teamwork, we invite you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of testing samples following established protocols and perform quality control measures.
- Embed tissue specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Section paraffin blocks at a consistent rate.
- Produce tissue sections with precise thickness and minimal artifacts.
- Perform routine H & E staining in accordance with departmental standards.
- Identify and rectify staining issues prior to submission.
- Conduct on-site special stains and histochemical methods as required.
- Prepare cytological specimens and ensure accurate data entry in the laboratory information system.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Science or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is advantageous.
- Possession of a State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience in Histology is preferred, with less than one year acceptable.
