Position Overview:
- Facility: Bardmoor Outpatient and Surgery
- Location: Largo, FL
- Status: Full Time, hourly
- Shift Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: No
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, receive, and process specimens from both inpatient and outpatient sources for laboratory testing.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient specimens.
- Refer specimens to external laboratories as necessary.
- Engage with physicians, clients, and staff concerning referral lab tests.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures with precision.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in Phlebotomy or a related laboratory field.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
- Credentials: Valid Driver's License required.
- Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.
